Man says TV stolen from house
Among reports filed with police:

Thefts

* 5800 block of Altama Avenue, Glynn County: A man reported someone stole a TV from his house Thursday. He said the TV was owned by a rental business. He said he was in the process of moving and suspected someone who knew this could have entered the house. The TV was valued at $1,500.

* 100 block of Parland Road, Glynn County: A woman reported a female suspect stole jewelry from her bedroom Dec. 27. She said her daughter took two rings to a pawn shop and sold them. The responding officer spoke with an employee at the pawn shop and asked him to return the rings. The employee refused to give the rings to the officer, and the officer told him if he did not return the rings, he would be arrested. The employee gave the rings to his manager, who also refused to return the rings. The officer also told him he would be arrested, and the manager gave the officer the rings. No arrests were made.

* 200 block of Needwood Road, Glynn County: A man reported someone stole a cast iron pot Dec. 27. He said a fire previously damaged the residence and items inside. The suspect also stole impact sockets, wrenches and a riding lawn mower that were damaged by the fire. The suspect sold the cast iron pot to a metal business. The pot was not returned because it had been broken into multiple pieces.

Burglaries

* 200 block of Prior Avenue, Glynn County: A woman reported someone stole property from her house Thursday. She said a TV, a laptop, a tablet computer and earrings were missing. When the officer was clearing the house, he noticed none of the lights worked. He discovered all of the fuse switches had been switched off. Entry to the house was gained by prying a door open. The stolen items were valued at $1,750.
