Police arrest man in stabbing
Glynn County police arrested a Waynesville man Friday on charges of murder for allegedly stabbing a man and his wife multiple times, killing him and sending her to the hospital.

Raymond Michael Brasiel, 20, of Waynesville, was arrested at Glynn County police headquarters after he was questioned about his possible involvement in the early morning attack that left Bobby Lee Jenks, 50, dead with multiple stab wounds, and Mickie Lee Jenks, 46, wounded with multiple stab wounds, according to police chief Matt Doering.

Mickie Jenks was air lifted to Savannah Memorial Medical Center, where she was being treated for her wounds Friday.

Police received a call around 3:30 a.m on Friday from a neighbor who lived across the street, on Ternest Lane, off of Old Post Road in southwest Glynn County.

The couple went to the neighbor's front port in search of help, Doering said.

Police found them on the front porch when they arrived.

Doering declined to disclose a possible motive but noted that the victims and Brasiel knew each other.

"It was not random. I am comfortable saying that," Doering said.

Brasiel is being held in Glynn County Detention Center on charges of murder and aggravated assault.

Doering said the Brantley County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation.
