Meth lab found
A Glynn County man and a Darien woman are being held in the Glynn County jail after police discovered an alleged methamphetamine lab Monday.

The Glynn-Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team spent Monday afternoon at a house on Yarnell Drive, near Interstate 95 and Old Jesup Road in Glynn County, after officers executed a search warrant shortly after noon and discovered evidence of the highly addictive illegal drug being produced at the house, according to Glynn County Police Capt. Terry Wright, head of the narcotics squad.

The discovery led to the arrest of Nathaniel Zack Spell, 33, a resident of the house, and April Brown, 24, of Darien. Each is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and is being held without bond.

Wright said the Glynn County Fire Department hazardous materials unit was called as a precaution because of the risk of contamination by harmful chemicals and the threat of fire.

The cooking operation was the fourth to be discovered in Glynn County by police since late April.
