Suspects use bottle to break windshield

Among reports filed with police:

Thefts

* 400 block of Union Street, St. Simons Island: A man reported someone stole two televisions from his house Sunday. He named his housekeeper as a possible suspect but did not know her name. He found the upper level rear door and the rear screen door unlocked. He suspected the doors were left unlocked to allow the suspect entry to the house. The televisions were valued at $1,000.

* 100 block of Todd Drive, Glynn County: A woman reported a male suspect stole property from her house Sunday. She said perfume, a watch, an MP3 player and a pair of sunglasses were missing. She said the suspect had been at the residence earlier in the month and she found him looking around her bedroom. At the time she did not notice anything out of place. The items were valued at $1,050.

Assaults

* 5400 block of New Jesup Highway, Glynn County: A man reported three suspects broke a windshield with a bottle and struck him in the head Saturday. He said they pulled into a parking lot to get a drink and when he got out of the vehicle to smoke a cigarette three male suspects drove up and the driver got out of the vehicle and started fighting with him. The two other suspects exited the vehicle and hit the windshield with a bottle causing it to crack. They got back into the vehicle and fled the scene. No arrests were made.

Problem with persons

* 200 block of Walmar Grove, Glynn County: A woman reported a male suspect jumped on the hood of her car and punched the vent on the hood Sunday. The suspect was arrested and charged with criminal trespass damage.
